MUTHATHI AND KANAKPURA

A Week end Hideout planet, just 100 Kms away from Eangalore. Enjoy the Cool fresh waters of Kavery river and get wild with the Elephant Camp nearby.

Muthathi is a perfect place for a one day outing from Bangalore. It is near to Kanakpura a part of Rural bangalore. The major attractions at Muthathi includes, Waterfalls, Kavery water, Elephant Camps Etc. You can do Treks in teh forests nearby, but you need to get Permissions Prior.

The best thing about Mutathi is that it is just 90 minute drive once you leave the town. Drive on the Kanakapura road through Kanakapura and Sathanur. Turn left at Satanur and drive for another 30 minutes to reach Muthathi. You drive through the hills and wilderness of Cauvery wildlife sanctuary and get good views of the river. There is no accomodation available in Muthathi village.Pack your food before you leave the town since there are no restaurants available.

We were 5 for the trip, We spend some time at The Pridarshini Seva Kendra School At Kanakpura on teh way. By Afternoon We had our lunch and moved back to Bangalore by Evening. It was a nice trip, Though the waterfalls were almost dry, we had a close view of the elephants and a wetting session at Kavery River.

While coming back, we had a littile shopping at Metro and were back at Jayanagar By 7:30 PM
