Menchanbele Is an ideal spot for a one day outing from Bangalore. The major attractions include The dam itself. (Even thought the dam is not that big, it is beautiful ), and the surroundings. For those who love adventure there are many small hills to try their mountaineering capability. I have spend about a few hours climbing the rocks. Menchanbele is about 36 km from Bangalore by road and about 8 km from the Big Banyan Tree. Manchinabele Dam is situated in the midst of hills and forests at the foot of the Savan durga (The larges monolith of Asia).
